New Paving

New paving consists of some pre-planning to identify intended use, limits of paving, desired grade, and where water will drain. We will then make recommendations on pavement structure and asphalt mix design to support the intended use. Work begins with excavating and grading the area to establish desired grade and drainage. Next, a layer of base is installed and compacted to the necessary thickness required to support the pavement structure. Finally, a specifically designed asphalt mix is laid down hot with a paving machine for uniform thickness. The hot asphalt mix is rolled at specific temperature zones to achieve optimum density and design strength.
